Ready for just about anything winter can throw at it. Flowers tolerate -7 C with no damage.
Haskap will tolerate a wide range of soil types and conditions. Little maintenance is required after established.
Berry has exceptional flavour, often described as a mix of tastes between a Blueberry and a Raspberry. Very healthy fruit that is high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Unlike Cherry and Saskatoon Berry, Haskap plants are not self-pollinating. This means that you will need a minimum of 2 compatible varieties for adequate pollination. Compatible varieties share two things in common:
1) They must be distally related
2) They must have a bloom time that has significant overlap
